What is Cardcloud?

Cardcloud is the only business card you'll ever need. Users can create a digital business card by using the Cardcloud app on their mobile phone, and share it with anyone. Recipients do not have to have the app installed. Cards can be shared from phone to email, or from phone to phone. By making most out of modern smartphone technology, Cardcloud is able to gather contextual information about each new person users give their card to. Cardcloud remembers who, where, when and how you met someone, and visualizes this in a beautiful way. Users save money on printing cards, and have an infinite stack of eco-friendly business cards.

When was Cardcloud founded?

Founders Renato Valdés Olmos and Paul Geurts met during college and founded 2 companies prior to Cardcloud together. Cardcloud was co-founded with Joris Kluivers. The three had worked together on several occasions, albeit at different companies. Cardcloud's first mobile app was hacked together in a sixty square feet shared office space on the canals of Amsterdam and started getting tested during that summer, only to go live in December of 2010.
