I downloaded the app and signed up. How do I edit my card?

You can edit your card in the Android app or by visiting cardcloud.com and logging in. Under ‘Cards’ you can edit your card’s contact information, social networks, logo and profile picture. A future update to the iPhone app will add functionality to edit cards from the app.

Can I have more than one card? How?

You can create as many cards as you like. For different companies, for personal/business use, or even separate cards for different languages. You can create additional cards by logging into cardcloud.com. New cards will be automatically synchronised with the app.

Can I have a URL for a card other than my Public Card?

You can currently select one card to be your Public Card.

Can I import paper business cards into Cardcloud?

At this moment, we recommend you use the ‘Email a Card’ feature in the app. We plan to be more compatible with old fashioned cards in the future.

I can’t search for other users! Can I?

Search is restricted to your own address book, since Cardcloud is designed for new contacts.

Can I import my existing contacts in to Cardcloud?

At this moment you can't. Cardcloud was designed to share your contact information with new people. We might add funtionality that supports this in the future.

Can I customize the colors/fonts/images of my card?

You can add a logo and a profile picture to your card at the moment. You can change the background of your Public Card. We plan to introduce more extensive customisation options in the near future.

Can you add [insert social network] support?

We currently support over 15 services in Cardcloud. We’ll be adding new waves of services in the future. If you have any suggestions, feel free to drop tips to services@cardcloud.com

Why am I unable to add my LinkedIn URL to my card?

Adding your LinkedIn account to your card requires a public profile URL. You can do this by logging into LinkedIn and going into your public profile settings.

Can I send a card to somebody without the app?

Yes you can. If you have Cardcloud for iPhone or Android installed, select ‘Email a Card’ and you’ll be able to send your card to any email address you receive. Recipients get your visual card (including contact info, social networks, logo) and a vCard that they can store on their device or app.

How does phone-to-phone sharing work?

If you select ‘Beam a Card’ in the app, you’ll be given the option to select a card. Under the card, a list of people in your direct vicinity will appear. Select the person you want to share your card with to exchange instantly. We use time, location and an internet connection to set up connections between phones.

Can I share my card with multiple people at the same time?

Yes you can. Just select the checkboxes behind the names in the ‘Beam a Card’ option to share your card with multiple people at the same time (note that recipients must do the same).

Can I email my card to multiple people at the same time?

Yes you can. Just type in several email addresses into the fields in the ‘Email a Card’ option.

How do I login to the website after making an account on my iPhone?

You can continue your signup by visiting cardcloud.com and clicking ‘Login’. Click ‘Started using Cardcloud on your phone?’ to finish your signup, or follow this link: http://www.cardcloud.com/signup/register_email

Will you build an app for [BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Phone 7]?

Today, Cardcloud is compatible with all iOS devices and Android devices running Android 2.1 or higher. We have big plans for all platforms, but we’re a small company and have to balance development assets - therefore can’t announce any development on other platforms until we know for sure.

I want to use Cardcloud, but I have an [BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Phone 7 - device]. Can I?

Yes you can! You can visit http://i.cardcloud.com from your phone’s browser and use our web-based application.

Is Cardcloud secure?

We made sure that our first priority was that exchanging cards was done effortlessly. Making sure your data is secure is part of that priority. You don’t have to worry about sharing your contact details with other since you are in control with whom you share your card. We do not share any of your cards or contacts with third parties and will continue working to improve security.

What happens to my cards and contacts when I share them?

Contacts get stored on the app locally, and are being backed up in the cloud on cardcloud.com. We also store geolocation for every direct exchange or card sent by email, so you can remember when and where you met a person.

You store location information. Is this public?

No. The location of your meetings are only visible to you and whomever you shared a card with.
